The Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center Board, advisory committees and staff, have teamed with providers and community businesses to create a new employment culture — one where people with intellectual/developmental disabilities are welcomed and embraced by satisfied employers and supportive public. People throughout the community have communicated they want to follow their dreams, be respected, feel confident and be a contributing member of their community. Featuring leading employment expert Cary Griffin, Miguel Lugo, a member of the ELARC Board of Directors and Chair of the Consumer Advisory Committee, asks questions to hear how people with disabilities can find jobs, start small businesses and achieve successful employment.
