Publications
BRC has a long history of publishing easy-to-understand and use plain language booklets and guides. Our publications are developed in collaboration with government agencies, nonprofit organizations and service provider groups. They are field tested with intended audiences prior to publication and are available for viewing and download in this section. They include person-friendly books, information guides and tools that can be accessed through the Library in a “tagged” PDF format. All booklets and guides utilize plain language and pictorial representation. Publications are organized into three categories:
Include
Rights of all persons to participate in decision-making and self-determination.
Connect
Practices that individuals, families and organizations utilize to cultivate relationships, opportunities and interdependence in their communities.
Transform
Methods that encourage sustainable change by stakeholders and organizations so transformation is reflected by the community-at-large.
